FrogTape

FrogTape is an essential painting piece of equipment. Equipped with PaintBlock technology, it is in almost every pro painter’s gear to deliver a seamless finish. FrogTape was intended for use with latex paint. PaintBlock generates a micro-barrier around the edges of the tape which develops a chemical reaction with the water in the latex paint. This is a unique feature that helps prevent the paint from bleeding.

What is PaintBlock Technology?

PaintBlock is considered an SAP or sodium-based cross-linked Superabsorbent Polymer. It is ideal for absorbing and retaining large amounts of liquid in comparison to its own mass. This technology has been employed for years in lots of daily items which include paper towels, feminine hygiene and baby diaper items.

Why Is FrogTape in a plastic canister?

Since masking tape is a crucial tool, it will last longer if kept clean and free of moisture. This packaging permits the FrogTape to stay free from dirt and debris. The empty canisters are terrific to recycle or handy in your garage for nails, screws, mounting bolts, nuts, etc.

What is the timeline for leaving the FrogTape Delicate Surface product on my walls and trim?

This is an excellent painter’s tape for removing from recently painted materials after a minimum of 24 hours without leaving behind any residue. It may be left on faux finish paint or wallpaper for about sixty days or two months before painting. To prevent the chance of ripping fresh paint, we recommend removing the masking tape immediately after your painting is finished.

What is the timeframe for leaving FrogTape Multi-Surface on a location that is directly in the sun?

This specific FrogTape provides UV resistance for 1 week. It is recommended that the masking tape is taken away immediately after painting for the cleanest results.

How long is FrogTape Multi-Surface able to stay on my walls or my trim?

The FrogTape Multi-Surface painter’s tape should come off residue-free for most surfaces for 21 days or Seven days in direct sunshine prior to painting. It is recommended that masking tape is peeled off right after your painting is finished to decrease the risk of accidentally tearing fresh paint.

How long should I leave FrogTape on before removing it from the surface?

We suggest removing the painter’s tape as soon as the paint is still wet. When the paint has started to dry, you might notice cracking across the paint line or that it pulls up when you try to remove the tape. Use a razor blade to score across the tape’s edge before removing. For much better removal and a cleaner finish, break the seal between the paint and the tape.

Why won’t my FrogTape stick to the walls?

If your walls have been recently painted and your tape isn’t sticking, this can mean the paint hasn’t completely cured. If the tape is stretched when you put it on or if the wall was incorrectly prepped, the tape can lift off the wall easier. It is vital to prepare the surface effectively by cleaning it to ensure it is dust-free. Employ a wall primer as your first step to guarantee the paint will bond properly and all imperfections are taken care of.
